Boost is very addictive. I'll add to this conversation by saying "Amen" to not welding anything having to do with the inlet pipe, crossover, or exhaust going from the turbo to the muffler. My car came with the muffler welded to the exhaust and it was always a chore to attempt a valve job. Had to remove it from the turbo and drop it to the side. I never knew the setup was wrong until I started rebuilding my engine over the winter, and showing pictures to the guys who helped me.
When the final "adjustments" were made by the Beckers, they cut me a new pipe, with a removeable clamp more like the factory. So much better.
Also, I have stopped baby-ing my engine, and I get boost in every gear. Everybody throws numbers around like they are reading precise measurements from K.I.T.T.'s dashboard, but all I know is, it is happening because my little stock pressure gauge jerks around and the seat starts pushing on my butt.
