That is a 1960 optional accessory that was only offered in 1960. I had one that I pulled from a dealership, however, I have no idea what became of it. It is most likely in one of the deep recesses of unsorted parts. If you buy this one, it is safe to say that you will be the only one to have one. Personally, I believe that this one is underpriced due to its rarity and its pristine condition. If I had an EM 4 door, I would definitely buy it without giving it a second thought.

What a cool item!!!! Never seen one in nearly 50 years of Corvair'ing.

It really only makes sense for a 1960 because of the deep 'well' behind the back seat.

Enjoy the Corvair!

Such a cool item - if I had a 60, I'd own it. Free bump to the top.

Never seen one or heard of one before. Doesn't look like it would cover much cargo. How is it used and where? Jim

I sold one at the Pittsbugh convention. It was also NOS with instructions and hardware. Had very little interest in it and finally sold it for about $20.
