Posting some photos for 1STLM, couldn’t figure out how to attach them to a PM.

Photos are both, left and right speakers with top up but window down in its storage area.

Thanks Gary, much appreciated. Do you leave the speakers in the brackets when putting the top down. I like my rock and roll too, but also value my hearing! So, this may just work out for me too.

Yes, speakers stay in all the time. Back window takes a little care to tuck it under the speakers (wrapped in a very soft towel). The top only needs a little guidance to clear the speakers.

Note with the boot on the rear speakers are barely audible but that hasn’t bothered us on our top down excursions.

Which speakers - Brand/model?

They are very inexpensive speakers but sound pretty good and can handle power from almost any setup. They are Pyramid 2022SX 3-1/4'' 3-Way Mini Box Speakers. I bought them from Advanced Auto but they don't seem to carry them anymore and they are cheaper from another supplier; Pyramid 20225X Speakers

I drilled the mounts of the speakers and used the existing screws in the back of the back seat. Wires I just ran under the carpet and rear seat back to the speakers.
