() Date: March 02, 2022 08:13AM Not mine. Just saw them on Craigslist this morning. They are in So. Cal. https://ventura.craigslist.org/pts/d/thousand-oaks-chevy-corvair-heads-nos/7452706994.html Re: 140 HP NOS Heads Posted by:

() Date: March 02, 2022 08:45AM The casting number indicates they are 66 and later 140HP heads that have the bigger tin bolts and reinforcement for the A/C compressor bracket. Awfully shiny for heads sitting in boxes for decades. Looks like someone cleaned them up. Ventura Dave is in that area. Would be fun to look at. Re: 140 HP NOS Heads Posted by:

() Date: March 02, 2022 12:47PM Wouldn’t that be cool to build a NOS engine. But then I couldn’t use it! David North Idaho 1965 Corsa Turbo converted to 140 1971 Super Beetle with 2.5L Subaru engine 1988 Citroen CX 25 GTI Turbo Re: 140 HP NOS Heads Posted by:

() Date: March 02, 2022 05:08PM I don't know what they sell for now, but in 1968 the catalog price was $60. The last pair I bought from Cheverolet in 1972 cost about $70 each, with a discount. However the quality was terrible--the valve seats were sticking out of the combustion chamber and the fins weren't fully developed. I think they were selling rejects. Obviously depends on condition… These were NOS in box - no valves. $500. Each Clark’s price is $795. Re: 140 HP NOS Heads Posted by:

() Date: March 02, 2022 05:51PM THANKS TO PHIL's EAGLE EYE FOR CORVAIR PARTS!!!!! Paid $900 for the pair. In perfect shape, including the boxes. '66-69 NOS heads, large turkey roaster bolts. Stainless exhaust tubes, guides, and seats installed. No valves or associated hardware. A super nice and honest guy selling them. Loved meeting with him! Going from Corvairs to the winemaking industry. Owns a small vineyard in King County on the foothills of the Sierras. Hopefully, I'll be sampling some of his cabernet sauvignon soon! () Date: March 02, 2022 06:23PM I paid 1500.00 for the pair of NOS heads that are on 362. To my amazement the heat treat was not really any better than a good set of non overheated used heads. Replaced all the seats anyway and it was nice to have new to work with ![]() 1965 Crown V8 Racer 1964 Bill Thomas Monza Replica Racer 1964 Spyder Street Car 1979 Mazda RX7 Mike Levine Re: 140 HP NOS Heads Posted by:

() Date: March 03, 2022 11:54AM So, I'm confused??? Did jetcat or Phil Daily buy them? Phil did say "we" so maybe jet cat bought them and Phil went with him for the journey? I was kind of surprised that they lasted even 10 hours on Craigslist. When I saw them about 8AM I figured someone here would want them and made the post. And apparently I was correct because you guys sure were fast to get them. Anyway, I wish the buyer the best. Re: 140 HP NOS Heads Posted by:

() Date: March 04, 2022 05:31AM Lucky to find a good set of NOS 140 heads. TomKeo had the same experience as me. the only NOS 140 heads I found were poor quality, with fins that weren't fully cast.
