The number to identify heads is 7 digits long. It's on the right rear and left front hidden behind the shrouding. Corvair Junkyard Primer booklet shows 3856636 or 3856638 as 64 150 HP heads. I usually verify with a more extensive list in the CORSA Tech Guide.
The 38A number has no practical information for us when identifying.
