I'm confused here. Doesn't the shift lever for the FC PG attach along side of the panel? Is this panel a mixture of parts or is it perhaps from a '60?

Yeah I think you are right Dale. The 61-63 FC speedometer had shift points (like yours shown) and has the gear shift lever to the side. Even on a PG equipped vehicle there are shift points. I am thinking his for sale is a hodge podge of parts (though still a fair price).

Thanks for the comments. This is the way I got it. Perhaps someone put the 80-mph in a car instrument panel.

I'm not familiar with FC speedometers, but did they all come with shifts points whether PG or manual transmissions?

Yes, I believe until 64 where they went to 100 MPH and lost the shift points. To clarify, 61-63 FC went to 80 with shift points. 64-65 went to 100 MPH without shift points.

Is it possible 80 MPH speeds were put in very early cars?

Spent a good chunk of the day with the speedo needle buried at 80 in my '63 PG rampy. It has the shift points and I know if was factory a PG. So this is a good curiosity. I have been around very few stock PG FC's. So was it such a thing to have an 80 with no shift points?

I also have an 80 MPH unit with the shift lever to the side & the bezel is painted silver. I also noted that this one for sale has nice chrome bezel. I don't think the FC's had chrome bezels, except maybe the deluxe Greenbriars might have had that. The pic in Dale's post has the painted bezel & looks pretty "correct" for an FC.
