Some universal replacement cases had no stampings.

I have two of them and they are ported for both FC/ wagon and car dipsticks. Check the block on the passenger side for the FC casting ,it will have a plug in it

The original EM turbo engines had many unique and different internal parts. I wonder if when buying a replacement engine you could get all the different internal components. Are you able to get any of the part numbers? Cylinder heads, crankshaft, etc. Does your engine have any of the "late" stuff found on 64s? (harmonic balancer, 12 plate oil cooler, is it a 64 turbocharger, belt guides, etc.)

I have seen a few cars with unstamped blocks that left the factory (3-4 over the years). I have one of those motors in the warehouse right now. I pulled it out of a 65 Corsa coupe -140hp

I have had several NOS bare blocks and they all have had the port for the FC fill plug and the 1960 sending unit.

Of the crate motors I have had my hands on, I would say 75% were ported for FC.

My 69 factory 140hp car with 23K miles has a universal casted block installed in it from the factory.

So, anything is possible

Spike,
Here are a coupla pics, hope these make the descriptions a little more clear. My case has some corrosion where the numbers would normally be, best I could find.

Spike,
I was told the extra ribbing at the right rear of the case (last pic) identifies the difference between 145 (early) and 164 ('64 & late) cases. Experts can confirm.
