Then I will have to wait till late spring to prime paint. So, hopefully in late winter I can finish up on the 140. -Tom ![]() 63' Monza Spyder Convertable (in process) MY Build Thread 62' Wagon rebuild MY Build Thread 65' Monza MY Build Thread 73' NovaSS 454 Big block (Sold) 86' BMW 325es 67' UltraVan 211 "Violet" NFCC, UMCC Grand Island, NY Re: Wild for a Wagon ![]() Posted by:

() Date: November 26, 2021 05:22AM I have two, my original was a harbor freight unit, that works but tended to not always feed as smoothly as I would like, but for suspension parts etc I still use it. The one I use as my go to is a Red Line EZ50 Powder Coating Gun. It has variable voltage so when needed it can be adjusted to get into corners (you actually lower voltage). Much smoother application. For the price it works well. The only thing I don't like about it is the hose connection, not real rugged, but I "reinforced" it a bit and has been fine for years. -Tom ![]() 63' Monza Spyder Convertable (in process) MY Build Thread 62' Wagon rebuild MY Build Thread 65' Monza MY Build Thread 73' NovaSS 454 Big block (Sold) 86' BMW 325es 67' UltraVan 211 "Violet" NFCC, UMCC Grand Island, NY Re: Wild for a Wagon ![]() Posted by:

() Date: December 30, 2021 07:33AM Latest updates: I gave rebuilding the shifter coupler a go. I think it will work out well. Added hardened roll pins in the holes tig tacked them in place, reamed out openings. (Should prevent wear over time) Made a 95 durometer bushing out of TPU, noticably stiffer than what was left of stock but not super hard like nylon. -Tom ![]() 63' Monza Spyder Convertable (in process) MY Build Thread 62' Wagon rebuild MY Build Thread 65' Monza MY Build Thread 73' NovaSS 454 Big block (Sold) 86' BMW 325es 67' UltraVan 211 "Violet" NFCC, UMCC Grand Island, NY Attachments: ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: Wild for a Wagon ![]() Posted by:

() Date: December 30, 2021 07:43AM Also have been soaking and pumping rust 911 into the doors. It does a good job of dissolving the rust. Takes a while and can get about two edge dips per 2 gallons of solution. I think that it is getting into the nooks and crannies. It has even exposed a pin hole that I might have missed in one of the door edges that is not accessible from the back. I will need to cut a patch for that area. -Tom ![]() 63' Monza Spyder Convertable (in process) MY Build Thread 62' Wagon rebuild MY Build Thread 65' Monza MY Build Thread 73' NovaSS 454 Big block (Sold) 86' BMW 325es 67' UltraVan 211 "Violet" NFCC, UMCC Grand Island, NY Attachments: ![]() ![]() Re: Wild for a Wagon ![]() Posted by:

() Date: February 09, 2022 03:36PM I have been stripping paint and stripping paint, inside, outside, upside down... Not my favorite thing still have to finish inner roof above engine and rear inner compartment. I used the Rust911 on the floors. Had what I though was a good plan, put flex tape over the openings and pump it around till rust is gone. (run over night) Got everything set all leaks sealed and pumping away! Looked good another hour later. Came out the next AM. Dooh! Solution on the floor of the shop, not that big of a deal but melted the pump inners. What had happened is that a few pin holes opened up when it at all the rust out of the pits in the floor and .... ![]() I have changed my method. Do one section at a time and have it drain out the drain hole into container with pump. Pump back up. This way if it leaks again it will leak into container and won't be an issue. -Tom ![]() 63' Monza Spyder Convertable (in process) MY Build Thread 62' Wagon rebuild MY Build Thread 65' Monza MY Build Thread 73' NovaSS 454 Big block (Sold) 86' BMW 325es 67' UltraVan 211 "Violet" NFCC, UMCC Grand Island, NY Attachments: ![]() Re: Wild for a Wagon ![]() Posted by:
