As parts started to be discontinued the '62 wagon rear grill became the replacement for the '60 cars and the '61 Lakewood wagons according to my 1965 parts book.

Good to know. Not as rare as I thought.

Yea that seem to have survived better than I would have thought. I have an NOS grill on the shelf and mine is quite good. Still a very nice score.

Finally done with all the sheet metal repair and manipulation. Should require minimal filler to even things out. If the weather holds out tomorrow I can epoxy prime.

Splendid work Tom! Looking forward to seeing the finished product. Our 65 Monza EO is almost completely disassembled and we are getting ready to start stripping paint, etc. It’s currently sitting on a dolly similar to yours smileys with beer

Tom, how do you get the body on and off the cart?

Fortunately I have a lift. I use a floor jack and 6x6 to lift about 1” and slide lift arms underneath and lift off cart.

Looking great Tom!

What is your booth setup & what gun are you using?

Your looking at my booth setup! smiling bouncing smiley

That is also why I always cut and buff my paint. If a bug lands in it the cut an buff takes care of 90%.

For being a driveway spray, I always get asked, who did you paint? Would you do mine? (I only do my own). So objectively, it has to be pretty good.

As for gun I love my DeVilbiss GTI, I think now called DeVilbiss GTI Millennium.

It is a 2k basecoat / clear.

The Green is a Sherwin Williams ATX urethane and the Moonbeam Beige Metallic is a PPG Omni.

The clear coat is Southern Polyurethanes High Solids Clear. ( I love this clear and their other products, priced right and high quality)

Awesome, thanks. I've taken a patched and dinged up car to blocking and final primer before but always chickened out before spraying color. I had no idea something like that could be done in the driveway. Hmm...
