Here I was, in my skivvies, and someone snapped a picture.

That was built in the 80's? Wonder where it is now?

Hm. So where do we hide the engine? It’s not under the cab. It’s not under the trailer. Where is it?

As far back as the rear wheels appear to be I would guess the engine is behind the cab. That is probably what the shirtless guy is looking at.

I took that as a joke since he didn't give us any info about the truck.

Same here.
.
And I agree that the engine is most likely behind the cab. THAT is where the Plaid-shorts fellow does appear to be looking.

It kind of looks like a beer keg was repurposed into a fuel tank.

Yes. thumbs up
I remember as a kid, ALL "proper" T-Bucket Roadsters, Sand-Rails, and fiberglass Dune Buggies used Beer Kegs as Gas tanks. cool smiley
Anything less was just second-rate. eye rolling smiley

Hold on there just a second doggies.

If you worked for JPL in the 1960/70's.

Surplus oxygen tanks were everywhere.

Actually worked better than beer kegs.

Because they were considerably lighter.

Yes, but it probably took several kegs worth of beer to come up with the idea of making an underpowered Rampside into a tractor to pull a trailer that is too small for anything useful.

The beer kegs would have been way more fun.

Having JPL in my back pocket was awesome.
