Funny. A lot of money for a spoof. I assume there is a real car they are releasing.

Cadillac has a big advertising campaign for their new CADILLAC LYRIQ.

GM is also announcing that the Chevy Bolt should be parked 50 feet away from other cars because of a spontaneous fire possibility as well as parking outside of a garage after charging.

Millions of people in this country live in apartments and condos that have very little likelihood of being rewired to charge electric vehicles.

Kind of puts in perspective what you're hauling around in that electric car. I feel guilty throwing even one away in the regular trash.

Then don't!
Just toss them into the nearest body of water, burn 'em, or bury 'em.
Either way, they will be out of your hair. winking smiley

Yeah I try not to do that. Our local library used to have a recycling drop-off, but that stopped and now I just collect them.

Batteries Plus store, 4 blocks away, accepts them, as well as CFL lights. Good exercise walk! (Eric - You speaking of ND?)

Seth,

I'm sure there's another place around here that takes some, I just haven't found it yet.

Recycling laws vary by state. Many states require retailers that sell batteries and some lights, to also collect from their customers for recycling.

Many places in CA stopped collecting during Covid, but Home depot and Lowes have recycling drop boxes again.

Here in NJ we're told that alkaline batteries no longer need recycling just the rechargeable ones. Taking a bunch of those to toxic trash day run by the county.
