Re: What are stock 1964 Rampside hubcaps?

I’ve finally contributed positively to this site. Only took a year!

Apparently that ridge was added to strengthen the hubcap and make it more durable. It’s not just esthetic. That’s also why the repops use the ridge.

But that makes finding that proper 64 hubcap really hard. It was only made for less than 2 years. I’d imaging the chrome version is even harder to find than the white version.

Make sure you don't find some for a 3/4 ton truck. They look the same from the out side but attach differently to the wheels and they won't fit the FC wheels. FC caps are the same as the 1/2 ton trucks.

14" Full wheel covers were also fitted from the factory if you ticked the right boxes on your factory order.

Like other FC years, the full wheel cover was the same as the corresponding-year full size cover from the Bel-Air/Impala. You could also get simulated wire wheel covers with a 3-prong spinner, but that was a dealer option not a factory option.

Here's the factory-option full wheel cover for '64 FC:

Craig N. Coeur d'Alene ID.
66 Black Monza 4dr, 4.2L V8 49k
61 Seamist Jade Rampside 140 PG
65 Canadian Monza 4dr 110/PG 40k
