I am leaking small amount of fluid in from my 64 monza manuel transmission.
Any suggestions other than a rebuild?

CHECK
Reverse light switch
Shift shaft seal
4 bolts holding it to the rear axle for tightness
Side cover and fill plug gaskets
Front housing gasket

In that order

No need to rebuild, just fix the leak. Shift shaft selector seal is most common culprit. Buy the 61 shop manual and 64 supplement and the pics of the seals/trans are there as well as how to replace.

Also find a local Corvair club in your area and join it. Join CORSA too. www.corvair.org

Plenty of willing help to get your car running wel.. If yuo show your location here there may be someone on the forum close to you for help too.
