Hello Rocco and welcome to CCF. I am looking at CORSA roster and see several names of at least interested members to help you in Alabama. Plus the V8 registry has a couple or more cars/members listed there.
Look at www.corvair.org to join. Also Vulcan Corvair club is in Chelsea.

There are several V6 owners here too. You might change your subject line to reflect the desire to build the V6 and also state city you live in to help readers here find you. GOOD LUCK

best wishes, Steve

Hi Rocco, and welcome!

Installing a substitute engine is labor intensive but really worthwhile.

About the only part you can buy (if you can find one) is the adapter bell housing. Small block Chevy and 4.3 V6 use the same one so that's what you need on the backside of the bell housing. The front of the adapter needs to match your transaxle i.e. automatic or manual transmission. They stopped making these bell housing adapters many years ago but they're around.

The engine must rotate Counter-clockwise so it has to come apart and get modified for reverse rotation. Reversing a pre-balance shaft 4.3 V6 is pretty easy but that means the donor engine has to be older than about '92 to get around the balance shaft problem.

Engine support brackets and the entire cooling system (usually a front radiator) has to be built from scratch.

EFI or carburetor; your choice. These days EFI using something like a Holley Sniper kit is pretty easy.

If you were to pay someone to do the job, I'm sure it would come in north of $10k

I did a similar conversion on my '66 about 10 years ago. It's powerful and trouble-free.
