I did some looking around for you as well. I tried 14" light truck tires, almost every search ended up coming back with trailer tires. I'm sure you already know you DON'T want those. I would probably go to a bigger wheel, Remembering wheels have weight ratings as well. Even if you find a nice set of 14" your only one road hazard away from going through this entire drill again.

MY 2 cents, on mine second full size motor home, tires is the last place for compromise.

Yokohama has a set of nice 14” LT tires:

Eric,

Those wheels seem to be a bit low on backspacing from what I’ve read. Have you used those wheels and they clear front and rear fenders on an LM? Also curious what having the centerline of tire further outboard does to handling and steering effort?

Stock offset is -1" (-25.4mm) and, when I get new wheels they will be 16".

It looks like 225/45R16 on 8" wide rims will work

So:
16" Diameter
8" Wide
-1" Offset (3.5" Backspace)
5 x 4 3/4" Bolt pattern
2 7/8" Hole
Sufficient Weight rating

Was looking at these [www.discounttire.com]
When they've re-opened after the weekend I'm going to see what my local tire shop can get.

That is exactly the tire I have been running on my LM Vair for about a year, Great tires. I went to a small local shop because I wanted to get some with a DOT date code of less than a year old. The shop included mounting balancing and new stems. It came out to less than buying them on line and then paying for the mounting service. Here's a pic of the load rating if you didn't see it on line.
