Old School Power for Turbos - SOLD!!!

This is the same as the set-up that Dick Griffin used on his 13 second turbo Corsa in 1966. Custom made manifold for 425 cfm Rochester 2-bbl. off of a big block Oldsmobile. Carb is a factory rebuilt unit from the 1970s. It has never been run. It has sat in a box for 50 years. You will generate way more boost with this than with the YH.

Carb and manifold together: $200. You pay the freight. PM me if you are interested.

Don't know how old the picture was, but I seem to recall Phil running a Quadra-Jet in one shot.
A 2-Jet would be a bit small after that.

You are probably correct. I just remember him asking about some strange, big jet, 2-barrel thing. IDK

This set-up is more for street/strip driving than for Bonneville. Griffin would drive his Corsa to the strip. Run 13-second ETs and then drive home.

Some of you turbo guys with YHs should try this out. I'm never going to use it as I don't have a turbo car. If you want, I'll loan it to you. If you like it, then you can buy it.

Never ran a Q-jet...only a 2" SU and it was too small.

Is this something that can be bolted on and run without any additional mods? that whole "methanol injection and park timing box" thing really put me off. I'm very curious to see what this would do bolted to the 180 that I am building

Just about any carb upgrade on a turbo will require some sort of boost control and/or water/meth injection. You're playing with fire otherwise.

Dick Griffin definitely ran water injection with his similar set-up.
