() Date: April 04, 2021 07:41AM Ok, so my partner and I turned one of the kitchens in my office (we had 2) into a bar room. I've built a nice 6-8 person bar. My partner's wife splurged and ponied up and got us a Guinness kegorator. Fits a 1/2 keg and is on wheels. THe model is a Beverage Air BM23B. Has anyone ever reversed the door sweep. Out of the box the door swings left to right with the hinges on the right side. We'd like to have it open from right to left. Seems like the hinges are attached to the door with bolts and adhesive. Its brand new, and before I get to prying wanted to check with the corvair community since these keg fridges are a natural fit for a diverse community of people who take refuge in garages, workshops and project spaces. Hints, advice, tips and recommendations are greatly appreciated. Also know that both the manufacturer and retailer are closed over the holiday weekend. And to those teetotalling fellow corvair enthusiasts, please take no offense, as I intend none, I respect everyone's individual decisions when it comes to beverages. Re: WAY WAY OT.... () Date: April 04, 2021 02:16PM Phil, my bad, I should have just referred to it as a small commercial refrigeration unit. BH Re: WAY WAY OT.... KEGORATOR Posted by:

() Date: April 04, 2021 03:37PM I would suggest that maybe someone look at the "Paperwork" that came with the unit. Some might call them Instructions, or maybe even a User's Manual. ![]() Quite often refrigerators are designed with an option to reverse the doors which is frequently advertised on the packaging and within the paperwork. Something else to consider would be to look at the top edge of the door and look for what may appear to be small plugs that might fill threaded holes for mounting hardware. In the event that the unit you have does have a reversible door, there is a good chance that you will see something to indicate mounting holes might be there. With all this said, I did a quickie search for "Guinness Kegorator 1/2 keg" and found the following link which coincidentally is the same model you mentioned. [www.kegerators.com] I then looked at the Specifications and guess what I saw.... ![]() Model: BM23B-GUIN Guinness Nitro Stout Kegerator Brand: Beverage-Air Kegerators U system lever handle keg coupler Temp Range: low 30's (Single) One Tap Tower Safety Rail Stainless Steel Draft Beer Tower Chrome Plated Tap Faucet Double Gauge Gas Regulator European "U" Keg Coupler Plastic Drip Tray Drip Tray (non-draining) Includes a Tap Handle Rolling Castors (included) Converts into a Refrigerator (with included shelves) UL approved Black Door Door is Reversible<---------------------------Look Here! () Date: April 06, 2021 03:09PM I do have th manual and have been googling my tail off. JUst so everyone is aware I try to be self sufficient and figure things out before posting questios. Turns out I need new hinge brackets. I'm getting the shipped. MY issue is there is a spring cartridge in the bottom of the door. This thing doesnt want to come out. I need to get it out and swap it for the flange/bushing in the top of the door. I dont want to destroy the thing. Ive replaced the spring cartridge in a True branded commercial refrigeration unit and it just unbolted and cam eout easily. this one is stubborn. I called the tech line and was told it should just pop out. Oh well. Thanks for the help. Re: WAY WAY OT.... KEGORATOR Posted by:

() Date: April 06, 2021 06:09PM Looking at a picture of one, will you need a left hinged door so the lock and handle will be on the right? John Oostdyk Thornhill, Ont 63 Rampy 65 Greenbrier 64 Convertible Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum. |
