It does start but needs work..." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few years ago a customer of mine got all jazzed about a 140 engine on Ebay or Craigslist in Tucson. Some Tucson folks were kind enough to advise staying away. I wonder if this is the same guy. It looks like a nice solid example. It would be nice if Corvairs had the same value as other cars. I don't know if they'd even pay $7500 on the TV shows. Jim Brandberg Isanti, MN CorvairRepair.com ![]() Re: FS: 65 Evening Orchid coupe Posted by:

() Date: March 04, 2021 04:32AM Pretty sure that belongs to Frank Pella who is in the Corvair club as well as the Chevy club in Tucson. Forum member Mike Lake (screen name 65180) knows that car and happened to mention it during the meeting last night. I don't think Frank is on this forum. () Date: March 04, 2021 07:41AM Well good I'm glad it's someone in good standing. I'm hopeful now that it's understated rather than overstated. The car looks like a solid example worthy of a new life. I'm jealous of those rust free Corvairs in Arizona. An Evening Orchid and Tuxedo Corsa would be quite fetching. () Date: March 04, 2021 08:09AM I wonder if 56 year old southern Arizona cars spent the first 45 years in Chicago? To me it looks like a lot of work for a lot of money. Re: FS: 65 Evening Orchid coupe Posted by:

() Date: March 04, 2021 12:18PM What I know of the history of the car is that it has been in southern AZ since at least 1977, restored in 1979 , then stored in. Oversized Garage since 1980. Prior to that the car was in Colorado. The reason for the repaint is that the previous paint job was badly stained from bird droppings and would not buff out. Steve asks: Mike do you know names of Colorado owners? If yes I might be able to help with history. There were numerous evening orchid Corvairs here earlier in their lives. () Date: March 05, 2021 08:34AM I used to own the same car back in the early to mid 80s.'65, EO, white interior, Corsa with 4 speed, wood wheel with tele column, 140 car. Except mine had a 110HP. It probably had the RB 140 original engine but someone had swapped the heads before I got it. Brings back memories, Re: FS: 65 Evening Orchid coupe Posted by:
