So, I have been watching these four shelf sitters, for a couple years now. 
My local store is so up to date on things, I just had to share.

WA. state, 1 mile south of the Canadian border, I am not at the end of the world, but you can see it from here.

Typically the store has nothing to do with the magazines, another person (wagon peddler) comes in to stock their wares.
They are just waiting for a new batch of Chrysler dreamers just coming of buying age to come in and buy them.

I’m sure the local doctor or dental office could use them to “update” their waiting room magazines

They may be trying to fill empty space, as Americans seem to eschew the printed page, preferring their phones, I guess. During the last few years, saw the last editions of CAR CRAFT, STREET RODDER, SCALE AUTO ENTHUSIAST, HEMMINGS SPORTS & EXOTIC CARS, MUSCLE MUSTANG & FAST FORDS, probably others I don't remember. There are no classic Ford car magazines left other than maybe for Mustang or Bronco. When I visit Barnes and Nobles these days, I walk out with 7-8 English classic car magazines, just to have some reading matter.

Ten-Tec, or Motor Trend or whatever they call themselves killed off a bunch of magazines and replaced them with a streaming app...
I lost my Vettes magazine, still steamed over that one.
