() Date: February 17, 2021 09:37AM I've seen two different styles with the fresh air opening on the drivers side (used for Turbo and A/C). One has an indentation in the rib on the drivers side for the fast idle solenoid linkage. I recall that was for 66 since in 65 the solenoid was on the passenger side. That's just my recall. Feel free to correct. Re: A/C Turkey Roaster Posted by:

() Date: February 17, 2021 09:48AM Hey, I'm sorry, its for a 1967 with a 140. I can use a 110, but I'll just have to cut out for the extra carbs. 1964 Monza Sedan 110 HP Auto ![]() Re: A/C Turkey Roaster Posted by:

() Date: February 17, 2021 09:59AM Just block of any fresh air hose outlet on the fan shroud. Keep any possibility of a failed hose or clamp creating overheating on the cylinder under it. Al Georgia Re: A/C Turkey Roaster Posted by:

If you're not going to use the original fast idle solenoid it won't matter which drivers side cold air outlet shroud you use. Also note the drivers side stock solenoid was first attached to the TOP of the shroud. This caused the shroud to eventually crack. The solenoid bracket was revised to bolt to BOTH the top and side of the shroud. Based on my observations, few use the stock fast idle solenoid unless they are preserving a stock A/C system. () Date: February 17, 2021 10:03AM The 65 top shroud will have some small bolt holes that don't line up exactly with the cylinder heads. Re: WTB A/C Turkey Roaster Posted by:

() Date: February 17, 2021 10:09AM I believe I have a spare AC top shroud, off of a '66. I will double check tonight. Eric P. DeWitt, IA Re: WTB A/C Turkey Roaster Posted by:

() Date: February 17, 2021 12:33PM Most of the 140's I have seen had the fresh air intake in the typical location on the right side. Lee J Re: WTB A/C Turkey Roaster Posted by:

() Date: February 17, 2021 12:58PM Nice picture Phil and one that brings up the age old argument. So I'll start it. Was there a 140HP top engine shroud that had the oval shaped fresh air hose on the LH side (from the factory)? Re: WTB A/C Turkey Roaster Posted by:

() Date: February 17, 2021 02:53PM Crusty...which we also believe is 100% original. Is 110/3spd with a left hand straight hose. Solenoid was missing when I bought it. Still WTB a replacement solenoid. Attachments: ![]() Re: WTB A/C Turkey Roaster Posted by:

() Date: February 17, 2021 03:16PM Another good picture Phil. Thank you. Does anyone have a picture of a 140HP top shroud showing the air hose on the LH side? Like Lee, most of the ones I have seen (if not all I have seen) show the hose on the right side and they were all round (not oval). Re: WTB A/C Turkey Roaster Posted by:

() Date: February 17, 2021 03:43PM Phil, No battery, so is that a push start car? I guess with a 3-speed just park on a hill so you can have a gravity assist push start. Wade Re: WTB A/C Turkey Roaster Posted by:

I have never seen a 4-carb factory A/C top shroud with a left side cold air outlet but that is not proof one doesn't exist. There are four 66 A/C 140 Corsas in the Phoenix area and none have the left side outlet. I have seen plenty of 2-carb factory A/C late models with the left-side oval outlet. They are everywhere. I have several of those covers in my parts stash. If you happened to have seen Cathy's 65 Monza 4-dr with factory A/C, you might have noticed what looks like a 140 cover with the left side outlet but it is not OEM. It is a 2-carb A/C cover that was modified to fit a 140 engine by a previous owner. That can lead to people thinking they saw such a cover somewhere.
