() Date: January 10, 2021 01:20PM Placed the key in the accessories position to play the stereo while I did some work on the car today. Much to my surprise when I walked to the back the backup lights were on (car was in reverse). I then tried the turn signals and they worked also. Is this normal for a 66 car? I measured voltage at the positive side of the coil and across the coil and both read 0.13 volts which I’d consider noise. If something is wrong with my wiring what is a good detailed reference for switch wiring? The 66 shop manual supplement just shows the ignition switch without indicating positions (will check out the 65 manual and assembly manuals to see if they have more info). Coming from a 55 Chevy I was looking forward to having an accessory position for using the stereo when not driving. 1966 Corsa Convertible Northern New Jersey Re: 66 ignition switch accessory position? () Date: January 10, 2021 01:31PM In acc position the wipers/heater motor/turn signals/BU lights plus radio will work. To fix turn off wipers/heater moto/center turn signal stalk and leave in forward gear. ggg best wishes, Steve Rear Engine Spec. Inc. I should have stated my biggest concern was there was voltage going to the ignition systems. Thanks for answering my question! 1966 Corsa Convertible Northern New Jersey Re: 66 ignition switch accessory position? Posted by:

To prevent running an electric fuel pump in ACC (65-66) you have to find the PINK ignition only power wire (unfused) and tap into that. In either 67 or 68 the wiring and fuse box was changed so you can access "IGNITION ONLY' power at the fuse box fuse terminal. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum. |
