Thinking of installing a fuel pressure gauge in my 140 Stinger clone. In reading reviews on the Summit site, there are several that warn about the gauges "spiking" with mechanical fuel pumps & suggest you should install a fuel pressure regulator also.
Anyone have experience with this? If so I can't see any value in adding one.
Thoughts?

Here is how I added a gauge for testing my adjustable fuel pump mod. While doing drive tests, I temporarily installed a 1/8 poly line to a gauge I could mount elsewhere but normally the gauge remains next to the pump. If you worry about the gauge being damaged you can easily spin it out and replace it with a 1/8 NPT hex plug.
