() Date: January 09, 2021 04:09AM How about rolling forward over the front wheel axis under braking? I wonder if that's what's happening in the picture. Maybe the rear wheels unloading is causing the droop and severe positive camber. I would like to think it sits more level with normal camber at rest. Do you remember the FC footage where they show the Ford rear wheels coming off the ground under braking? Was it a Jam Handy production? In the picture above the tires and bumpers don't match. That's why it looks a tad unbalanced. Jim Brandberg Isanti, MN CorvairRepair.com ![]() Re: OT :Vair people are not the only ones with a vivid imagination! Posted by:

() Date: January 11, 2021 05:08AM It looks like he has a cowboy hat. He might say yahoo when he lifts the inside wheel. It's not my cup of tea but I would certainly be checking out the fabrication given the chance. It's interesting how the body line continues along the side under the rear side windows. Was it a Jam Handy production? Jim, Ford added a 165 pound weight under the rear of the bed to avoid that, but for "dramatic effect", the film producers removed the weight. Not sure if Dodge did something similar with the A-100. Scott Danville, In. '65 Corsa basket case '66 Monza coupe [corvaircenter.com] Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum. |
