whatever shop you go to, bring the Clark's catalog with you, leave it with them in case they get stuck needing a part.

All Corvair engine seals are in the rear.

Well, sorry to disappoint you , but I have called it a rear main seal for years. I bet I have put more of them in Corvairs than you have!

Of course it is the FRONT crankshaft seal....

The rear of the engine attaches the the trans, just like water pumpers. Its just that the engine is in backwards.

When someone says rear main, I know exactly what they are talking about, whether its correct or not.
