It's in Cave Creek which is close to Phoenix. I was sent some low res pics about two weeks back. Apparently abandoned log ago. Wasn't interested so didn't ask anything further.

Was told the owner is out of state and that the car had to be gone in 30 days since the property it is on was sold.

Oldsmobile heads and a factory four barrel intake should be worth something. High mounted expansion tank, so must have had some of the burping problems solved. Decent body, at least compared to my '65 Corsa, which was going to get my 215. Where did you find the ad, Matt, or did someone call you, like they did with Dave?

I'm 35 miles from Cave Creek so i thought I would go check it out. I drove up there & the business was closed on Black Friday. The car was not in the fenced parking lot shown in the photo so it may be sold.

Scott, that looks like an aluminum intake manifold. Did the factory install an aluminum manifold? Go get it Scott. You will be 3/4 the way to your V-8. Looks like you will need to add an alternator. Jim

I believe all the 215 intakes - Olds, Buick, turbo and NA were aluminum

Thanks for the encouragement, Jim, but with the head bolts all missing (teardown because of problems?) and the engine open to the elements, I might be money ahead to stay with what I have. Quandary now is whether to cut down the Buick 300 crank to fit my 215 block, or go with a later Rover block for more displacement. Moot point anyway, play money for the rest of this year went to a Nash fan for the Monza.

nirvairna is correct, all 215 intakes were aluminum, as well as those on the '64 Buick 300 V-8s. Funkiest I came across during the time I was playing with a '62 Jetfire was the '61 only Olds two barrel. Carb almost completely encased by the air cleaner.

Think I have located major parts for the reverse rotation V-8, I was lusting after the southwest body with no (visible) holes. Picture of my Corsa explains the rest.

Those motor mounts will never work without tearing a hole in the block.

So is someone here interested in it? Certainly hope to see it saved. I would be as I have plans of building a 215 car - but too much going on right now to make it happen.
