High mounted expansion tank, so must have had some of the burping problems solved. Decent body, at least compared to my '65 Corsa, which was going to get my 215. Where did you find the ad, Matt, or did someone call you, like they did with Dave? I recall the block also was different to accommodate the Olds head, extra bolt? Just me but I think the Oldsmobile heads were better vs. the Buick heads. Hopefully someone rescues it. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/24/2020 09:20AM by 66vairman. () Date: December 24, 2020 09:33AM Yep - one extra bolt hole. Otherwise the same. My Buick has an Olds block in it currently. Re: Who knows about this 215 / rear mount LM in the PHX area? Posted by:

The difference between Olds and Buick is more than just the extra bolt hole for each cylinder. The Olds has a compact combustion chamber and flat-top pistons just like a Chevy. The Buick has a more or less flat cylinder head with the combustion chamber and compression determined by the shapes on the piston crown. Some say the Olds head and compact combustion chamber are more efficient but it's the Buick design that carried on into the early 2000s as a Rover engine. Craig N. () Date: December 24, 2020 10:16AM Yes, I was referring to the block. I have a set of Olds heads I almost used for the wedge shape to keep a good squish. However I kept the Buick heads and high compression pistons when I built this one. I have yet to retrieve Shant's 300 motor I bought that Phil is still storing for me. That is to built the 215 based car. Re: Who knows about this 215 / rear mount LM in the PHX area? Posted by:
