() Date: October 12, 2020 07:54PM The thread on the "VD" engine code reminded me of my old Greenbrier. Bought new in July 1963 by my Dad at Davidson Chevrolet in Denver. 1963, standard trim, 4-speed, 102-hp engine. It was school-bus yellow (Yuma Yellow?) with white stripe and fawn interior. Had a "Davidson" metal dealer script on the left tail door. For some reason I still remember the engine code - T0523VD - but I don't have the vin, other than the obvious part - 3R126S. I sold it almost thirty years ago (when I lived in San Diego), to a guy who flew in from his home in Dallas and drove it home. I haven't seen it since, but it occurs to me that if it's still around there's at least some chance that it's with someone who's on this forum. I deeply regret selling it, and I'd pay well to get it back. So - anybody seen my Greenbrier? () Date: October 13, 2020 12:43AM Here is an illustration from the 1962 Chevrolet Dealer's Album: ![]() 1963 Paint Code is 549 for two tone Yuma Yellow with Cameo White stripe. This would appear on the Data Plate on the front inside cowl assembly - near the fuseblock 1963 would have amber park/turn light lenses. Standard trim does not have the bright stainless around the windshield. Chrome bumpers were available as an option on Standard trim Greenbrier. () Date: October 13, 2020 06:36AM Thanks Dan. Mine had the standard white-painted bumpers, and I don't think it had ANY options other than the 102 engine and the 4-speed. My Dad was kind of like that. I remember him beating up on the salesman, too, until he got the bus for $2626, which is the number that he had decided was the right price. I'll look and see if I have any pics to scan. Mikey on the mighty Millicoma in Coos Bay, Oregon '64 Monza coupe waaay too much other stuff to list Re: Anybody seen my Greenbrier? Posted by:

() Date: October 13, 2020 07:20AM Mikey, If you have an old registration or the ID number, Corvanatics has a FC registry. That would be a good start. Corventure Dave Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum. |
