2.9L Engine For Sale
Posted by: vairmech ()
Date: October 09, 2020 07:57AM

I have a 2.9 engine for sale, I built this for a customer but the plans have changed.
I posted a lot about this engine build here and all I can say is it is extensively modified for torque. Some of the feature items is Ceramic coated 140 exhaust stacks in a 95 head, extensively ported, Singh Groove, octane cut pistons for a 9-1 compression ratio, will run on 87 octane fuel, NOS Ceramic coated exhaust logs and my FC cam. I will send the complete invoice to anyone interested.
What you see in the video will be pretty much what you get minus the exhaust and carbs. I will rebuild a set of carbs if you want. This has painted late sheetmetal on it with the heater doors removed and no lower heater shrouds. 99 44/100% ready to install. $8200

Emails please or give me a call. Shipping, pick up and maybe delivery available.

Here is a video of the engine running on my race carbs, It's what I had available at the time! LOL

Here is a second video of the engine running.

ROFLMAO

The Yellow fan is a bit of a trademark but also in aviation when you have an air line or oxygen line it is tagged yellow. The Yellow stands for air.

As an FYI, this engine was built for torque not RPM. Originally this was for an Ultravan but would work well in any FC or car with a 3.27 or even a 3.08 rear gear. 3.27 or 3.55 for a PG.

As a reminder of what went into this engine here is some visual candy.

This is for installing the 140 exhaust stacks.

What is your best guesstimate of what the compression would have been had you not octane cut the pistons?

Clark's full fin cylinders. With their extra wall thickness they can go that large safely.
This means no block mods and no cylinder head mods like for the 3.1.

Wow! Lol. I mathematically figgered mine at 10-1.
No wonder my cranking compression numbers are so high.
