cylinder head temp gauge

I finished the install of a cylinder head temp gauge, total cost, $20. I got (from Amazon) a WHDTS brand digital temp display, 2 inc x 1 inch UPC 192188039252, $11.99. The sensor that came with that was too short. I ordered 9.8 foot K Type thermocouple sensor,EARTER STAR brand. UPC 710280000750 from Amazon, $7.99. I found a 5/16 tapped hole on the right side head. I drilled out a short bolt tom fit and drilled and tapped the bolt for the M6 thermocouple fitting. Ran it today, 74 degrees outside (this module displays ambient temp in blue over the red head sensor). Idel after warmup engine temps were 165 F, 55 mph highway 260 F. Hard acceleration to speed was 325 F.
