Well, I never said it was a big ridge I removed....grinning smiley

Yes, just fingernail grabbing ridges that I thought was important to remove (since I owned a lathe type ridge reamer).winking smiley

The last set of cylinders I did I borrowed a Sunnen portable hone. Very nice! Took care of that ridge.smileys with beer

Agree, used a Lisle ridge reamer on my last rebuild, engine only had 54,000 on it but had a fingernail catching ridge. Reamed it, and used a flex hone with a drill that put a nice cross hatch in, std ring end gaps were perfect.
