() Date: September 15, 2020 08:39PM So the 62 rampside I got has 3 different wheels on it. I think the ones on the front are correct, they are 14" and the look original. I havent measured the width but they dont rub. The rear has a rally wheel and some other wheel on it. So I either need 2 14" wheels, or a set of 15s. So my question is, is there a car that I can pull wheels from to work? I know they are 4 3/4 bolt pattern, 15x6 should fit?? 3.5? backspace? I heard s10 wheels work, but what years? Im hopin I can find a set of 15inch wheels at the junk yard, just need to know what may fit if possible. Re: FC Wheel options Posted by:

() Date: September 15, 2020 09:12PM The problem is the RIM hitting the Tierod end at the steering arm. Newer wheels... Check what kind of lugnut they use. () Date: September 15, 2020 09:19PM Yeah thats what ive been reading, the tierod clearance. I just need to get matching wheels really, id prefer 15s cause tires are easier to get. And if i can get a set of 4 steelies which is fine thats even better Re: FC Wheel options Posted by:

() Date: September 16, 2020 06:21AM You know that too far in will rub in front. Too far out with a wide tire will rub on the fender in the rear. I used a baseball bat rolled along between the tire and fender lip on my Rampside. 15 x 6 is enough wheel for most reasonable size tires. 20 years ago I was buying 14" wheels and tires from 1980s RWD Oldsmobiles and such from the junkyard and throwing them away when worn out. Camaros and Firebirds too. I'm sorry I can't quote backspace numbers offhand. I'm sure others will chime in. Most aluminum wheels require longer wheel studs for proper thread engagement. () Date: September 16, 2020 11:44PM I gave up, been lookin a possible rim choices and everyone wants close to 200 or more than that for a set of wheels, even steelies. For that much I just ordered some rallys, 15x6, 4inch backspace. Gonna see how they fit and if need be i ordered longer front studs and ill use a spacer Re: FC Wheel options Posted by:

() Date: September 16, 2020 11:52PM Nothing beats the 15" Chevy Rallye Wheel. ![]() They look stock, period correct, and give you a larger tire at the same time. ![]() -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- WA. state, 1 mile south of the Canadian border, I am not at the end of the world, but you can see it from here. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: FC Wheel options Posted by:

() Date: September 17, 2020 02:43PM Those cragers look bitchin no question. But 17s would break the bank. These wheels with longer studs and caps were 350 out the door shipped haha Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum. |
