Arizona 1961 Rampside

While working on the Census I have come across some interesting cars. Most are not for sale but a lady said they would sell their 1961 Rampside. Pictures should be attached. It is in a field, down a dirt road in Wittmann, AZ. Northwest of Phoenix.

It is definitely a Bring-A-Trailer type. Flat tires and all, "ran when parked 9 years ago" by his father who has since passed away. He said he believes the bumpers and trim pieces are in the cab, but can't be sure. I could not get close to the Rampside, and took cell phone pics from the dirt road. I could not see any rust and the owner said it had minimal rust. They said it is a CA/AZ car from the start, and in the family for at least 30 years. Husband said it is a stick but didn't know if it was a 3 sp or 4 sp.

So if you are interested please send me a PM and I will let you know the contact details. They are asking $5k but I'm sure it is negotiable. Clean Title.

Doesn't look bad. Worth checking out, for us rust-belt folks.

More pics of the Rampside. I couldn't go in the yard because of the dogs so she took some cell phone pics. See attached.

The Corvair Rampside is one of my favorite of all Corvairs made but I am seeing a 500-1000 vehicle here. Sorry (to the lady). I am also seeing what looks like a tinted windshield.

Thanks Chuck. You need a drone to do your recon work. grinning smiley

I see a lot of Bondo in there. Probably was brought to the desert in pre-rusted condition from back east.
