() Date: September 02, 2020 02:25PM I think 28-30k would be a good range. You gotta laugh at the clock fires and the tremendous oil leaks that brought all these "Corvair folks" to their knees. The story telling around Corvairs is always good for a laugh. I hear it at every car show. BAT is a great forum for the myths to come out of the woodwork. Fascinating. () Date: September 03, 2020 09:10AM I am the previous owner (2 years) of this Corsa-- nice car and I enjoyed it thoroughly. However, as a concours level restorer of multiple Corvairs over many years and a proponent of the thought that "good" Corvairs are frequently undervalued at sale, I am dismayed and disappointed at the bid price of this vehicle. To command this price, this car needs a $10,000 paint job, chrome work and 3 months of detailing! It's obvious in the bidding that the participants 1 haven't seen the car, 2 are not Corvair people and 3 are probably "collectors".This isn't sour grapes, I sold the car at a good price and the buyer bought at a good price. My concern is that this level of pricing for this car sends the wrong message on the real value of our much loved Corvairs. Re: BAT Auction ‘65 Corsa....Your guess on final price Posted by:

() Date: September 03, 2020 10:41AM I think this is a great price. It’s not something I could/would put up the money on but many of us want increased values maybe just for passing things on to our family. They will never match certain other GM cars and there will always be cheap Corvairs for people to cut their teeth on. I can see both side of the price piece for sure. () Date: September 03, 2020 11:05AM I think that in general the price paradigm for a nice Corvair has shifted. Classic car prices have been very strong throughout the pandemic and have kept rising. Prices go up and down with the economy so things can always change. $25k to a buyer today vs. a buyer in the market 10-20 years ago is a really low figure for a nice car. It all revolves around economics, interest, and the price of other cars in the market. There is still a lot of value in the Corvair market. It always amazes me that the Vans sell for so much more than the Corsa's - but its all about preference. Re: BAT Auction ‘65 Corsa....Your guess on final price Posted by:

() Date: September 03, 2020 11:24AM The "What's it worth?" landscape has certainly changed since investors have taken notice of these cars. What if this car, in this condition, were a true un-restored survivor? Re: BAT Auction ‘65 Corsa....Your guess on final price Posted by:
