400 mph A/BG Streamliner on Bat

Add another couple hundred cubes and some nitro...500 mph capable.

I'll bet the spares are probably be worth what it eventually sells for.

This racecar holds all current SCTA-BNI records run at Bonneville.

400+ pass certified by USAC at Mike Cook's 2010 B/V Shootout.

I just want to hear about a Vair powered Corvair breaking 150 again!

That's alot of engineering / labor for possibly $25k? Already done...But a Wind tunnel would be the first thing to do..

Wind tunnel is not first and I only learned this myself a couple of years ago.

Simulation - computer work and testing is first. Plus it is much cheaper..
Like I had done with UV520

Wind tunnel testing comes only after you have done all you can do to get the best computer simulation results.

BTW - In Ottawa they have 7 wind tunnels at the air port and I was quoted 10k to get UV520 in one of the smaller ones, for one or two test..
That is when they told me the first step was computer simulation and testing.
The rest of the testing I asked for has been put on hold due to Covid-19..
I do have results for 2 if not 3 of the 7 test I'm having done.

Nothing quicker than a tunnel. Salt Lake City has one for cars...$650 for 3 hrs.

My bud picked up 12 mph that year...

Cool car. I would need to use the Sawzall to fit that in my garage. And parking would be a bear at the grocery store. Would get there quick though! grinning smiley

I think all BaT auctions have a reserve unless they say No Reserve in the title of the listing

Like one poster says...$32K don't even pay for the tires and wheels.

SOLD!!! For $175K...uber over the top bargain.

Maybe a third of what it would take to build it.

Cool! I am sad every time I go down to our "employee meeting" building at RCR, that gets used for storage, and see the Budweiser streamliner collecting dust.
