Bought a 1963 Rampside

It was a deal I couldnt resist!
Bought the "sister" truck that my first rampside was auctioned with.

I dont have many pictures of it yet and hopefully here in the next few hours I will be leaving to pick it up. I super lucked out and a friend is driving from Boise to Iowa and taking his giant enclosed trailer and the little rampside got to hitch a ride. I will meet him in cheyenne and then bring it home.

Its a 1963, fairly certain is a standard trim, no windshield trim, no arm rest and the front bumper is painted although the rear is chrome. Its a manual trans, assuming a 3 speed. Has the correct FC motor, at least in the pics no oil fill or dipstick on top.

all the ramp and tailgate handles are there, side and rear glass are there, needs a windshield!

The last truck we took from field to cross country trip in a really short amount of time, I think I just burned out on it and didnt really want to see it around anymore! This one I am going to try and take it a little slower and try and enjoy the process more.

it has a little rust at the base of the ramp if I recall and some at the bottom of the driver door. overall though I think it was in pretty good shape.

These are pictures from 2014, when I picked up my blue truck. I took a few of the '63.

Vin if anyone is interested

Ill grab a photo of the vin and the tag when I get it home.

Update:

Got it home at 3:30AM this morning.

Went out first thing to look at the vin, the engine stamp, trans stamp, and differential to see what I had bought.

It has a STD stamp on the build tag on the "firewall" but it has both sunvisors, and both armrests.

Engine code is
Ti208V

Trans code is ST207 (has a 4 speed knob so we thought it was a 4 speed)
Its a floor mount shifter

looks like the trans and diff might be out of a 1961

Differential casting is 3780270 GM4 L76
Stamp on the lower left side is HA12 I am not sure if there is anything after the "2" after i get air in the rear tires Ill wire brush it some more.

The engine has oil in it, its not sludge!
Both rear thermostat doors are closed!

Has some paperwork behind the seat I will need to see if I can find anything on it. Found an old 1968 Idaho plate with tags from '71

need to clean the tags on the carbs, source a coil, a generator and thats as far as I got before the baby woke up!

I am working on getting pics up.

Heather came out this morning to check it out, "well this brings back some memories." then she went back to the AC!!

Cant wait to show Michael when he gets home from Florida, I think he is gonna be super excited and now he can even help out on it.
