It attaches to the crossover pipe between the carbs. The pipe runs from the base of the back carb on the driver side to the base of the back carb (as you look from the rear of the car) on the passenger side. The pipe on a 4-speed has 2 fittings where it runs along the firewall, one for the rubber PCV line from the PCV tube that emerges from the engine top shroud. The second fitting is just to the passenger side Of the small bracket where the crossover pipe is attached to the engine top shroud. It attaches with a small hollow nut that the vacuum tube passes through.

Someone will post a picture. Sorry I don’t have one. If you are in a rush, search 140 and you will find threads with pictures.

That's a "Balance Tube" from a Corsa... It's for the VAC /PRESS gauge 1/8" plastic tubing to gauge on dash.

As posted in another thread. I searched "Balance tube photo" and found it posted by Dave Motohead [corvaircenter.com]

These were only found on the Corsa models. If you had a 500 or Monza with a 140 HP engine, there would not be one since there was no gauge on the dash.
In my 1965 Monza coupe I am running a 95/110 engine but installing a Corsa dash in it.
My plan is to use a balance tube from a late automatic car and use the vacuum fitting for the transmission and attach the hose to it.
I may even go as far as modifying it to add the threads needed to do the job correctly.

You could just use a Corsa tube on your 2 carb engine by putting a longer hose on the driver's side.

Point taken. I had not considered that option. At this point I have the PG tube but not the Corsa tube. I guess time will tell. Thanks for the suggestion.thumbs up

Some people would say to check with the Ranch as I bet they would have a Corsa one.
