The parts book lists '63-'4 rear backing plates as the same. They list a first design '63 with welded brace but that wouldn't effect the drums. I have also removed some '64 drums off of the back of a '63.

Thank you Tom and Rex! Now for a follow up question... Is the additional cooling capacity worth the additional 8 pounds (4 pounds each) of the heavier '64 rear drums? Thanks! Greg

I didn't realize they were that much heavier. The extra mass would help cooling also but is certainly a trade off in unsprung weight.
