() Date: May 25, 2020 05:15PM Matt- I just went to Clarks website... plugged the numbers in for both of the vairtrix units (Spyder and Corsa)... they are in stock. It is the "regular" one that appears to be discontinued NOT the vairtrix one! Cut it and fit to the original lens so you have the temperature numbers (on the lens). Re: Looking for a Cylinder Head Temperature Gauge Posted by:

() Date: May 26, 2020 07:47AM Okay, I'm confused. The unit that Jeff sells at the Corvair Ranch has a two into one connection. It would seem that both thermisters would feed into one line. How would you know which head is sending the signal to the gauge. Or is it as simple as the "hottest" signal would take precedence? Okay never mind. I went back and reread the description. It says it alternates between left and right heads. Don't know how that works but pretty cool. Now I have a different question or two. One, are the thermocouples a replacement for the thermisters? and two, do they have the correct thread pitch or do you need to get the adapter that Clark's sells? Yes, you don't need the old sender and the new senders thread directly into 140/180 heads. I'm guessing the adapter is probably for those with non 140/180 heads that use a Corsa dash and temp gauge. () Date: May 26, 2020 08:17AM "are the thermocouples a replacement for the thermisters?" Yes They screw into a Corsa or Spyder. If you are using it with anything else you would have to buy the adapter. () Date: May 26, 2020 08:30PM I would like to have a matching pair. Daniel Atkinson Daniel I can send you what you need, with the exception of the actual Thermistor. In order to install the stock setup, you will have to remove the temp switch in the right-hand head. This can be a formidable task since that tightly installed switch has been in there for 50+ years. Be ready to have to drill out and remove the upper part of the switch - it happens. It also means you will lose the temp warning light circuit, fed by that switch. As 66Caveman mentioned, it will take a bit of surgery on the back side of the dash, but it has been done.
