Hello to all Corvair enthusiasts!

My name is Hal Spalter. I'm 70 years old and considering getting back into Corvairs.

My first car in 1966 was a '63 500 with a 3-speed. A couple of years later got a '64 Spyder, then followed it with a '65 and a '66 Monza, both 110's with 4-speeds. I was a member of CORSA back in the early days and wore out my IECO catalogs.

I've been involved with Fiero's for the last thirty years or so, and just finished up an '88 Formula T-Top. With our advancing age, my wife is not comfortable getting in and out of it, so I'm looking to replace it with a LM coupe, preferably with a 140/4 speed combo, but would consider others, just don't want to deal with rust. We live in Central Florida (not far from the Don Garlit's Museum). Any one have a reasonably priced example that may need some cosmetic work that could be driven on weekends while undergoing restoration?

While I don't have any pics of my old 'Vairs, here's a shot of my current ride:

I would locate the Central Florida Corvair Club and join. I'm sure you could find something local.
