I’m in Chicago. Budget depends on the shape of the car.

CCE is your local club and is 1 of the bigger clubs. They did a great job last year hosting the convention.
Also you are close to Detroit. DACC is another great club with lots of members. Corvair wagons are rare
but are out there. I prefer 62 over 61 but they were not designated as Lakewoods by then.

Sorry I know this is a 62 wagon PG car but I thought I would at least give you the link. As others have stated they are pretty scarce. Looks like this one might have been reworked to a 164 engine as it shows with updates. You could always make it into a manual. [barnfinds.com]

Mike,
I don't know you or how much you know about Corvairs but just an FYI: The Monza wagon above is missing the Monza emblems on the front fenders. That could be a sign of a lot of bondo. Engine is from various years but it does appear to have a wagon style block since it has the rear oil fill/dipstick. It should have a generator instead of an alternator.
If it doesn't have any rust and the paint is really nice that might be a good deal. 4-speed Monza wagons are rare.

There is a Loadside without a ramp also. Of course a Loadside with a ramp is extremely rare.

No it actually is a Loadside which doesn't have a ramp. None of them did.
Except for the super rare one listed above of course.
