All I wanted to do was install a trailer harness / plug on my '94 Grand Cherokee.

Didn't have enough diodes of high enough wattage to make my own, so bought a new one from AZone.. simple Hopkins unit.

1 Did you know a '94 has a "suppressor diode" beween Bat - and body metal? So, when reading Voltage with meter you only get maybe 8-9 volts! Strange.....

2 when you connect a device with "Blocking Diodes" and who knows what else.... nothing at the plug! [ plug is one with diodes that light up

Took a couple of hours to figure out I needed a "Full ground"... yup, all the way from the Battery side of the S-Diode.

Now when I connect a trailer...who knows what will happen? eye rolling smiley
