Just the reverse here. The only non-Ford allowed in my garage is a Corvair.

Frankford, De., eight miles north of Ocean City, Md.
1966 Corsa, convertible.

Yeah, I will admit to having a certain affection for the Granada. Mine was a 1979. Its biggest problem was the carburetor was trying to be both a carburetor and a fuel injector. An experimental model that Ford only used in that year before turning to full-fledged fuel injectors the next year. Always flooded. Always. Even just on short trips. I spent many an hour in a grocery store parking lot trying to get going again.

Which I suppose would be pretty good use of my time these days.

My best friend and I crashed his Granada in about 1973-74.

We were both out of the car when Burbank PD showed up.

The vehicle was registered to him so he got the DUI.

For reference, the original GT40s, both the street cars and the racing versions, did not use Corvair taillights. The GT Mark IV, raced in 1967-on, winning the 1967 LeMans 24-hour race, used the 1960 Corvair taillights. The one in the Ford Museum still has those on it.

A friend of mine (Jim Kinsler) has a 1966 GT40, that he bought in 1967. He drives it on the streets of Detroit.
