JUST SAW THIS FILM. GOOD ESPECIALLY THE LAST 5 SECONDS WHEN MY TWIN CORVAIR (64 RED CONVERTIBLE) DROVE THRU THE LAST SCENE. THAT WAS GREAT! ANYBODY ELSE SEE THIS?

An old friend went to see it in the theater, thought it was great. I can and will rent it on PRIME one of these days.

I liked the movie, seems like I saw a couple of different Vairs scattered around.

Since I'm in the business, I heard a lot of hype about it before it came out. It lives up to all of it, and became one of the 10 best movies I saw last year. It was also nominated for best picture so there is that.

The only thing I was disappointed about when it came to that movie, was that Christian Bale did not dress down the Ford advertising man regarding the Mustang with some sort of comment about the superiority of the Corvair. :-)

It was certainly entertaining. I must caution everyone, if you watch with a real racer there will be a lot of groans.

Saw it opening week with my wife (who only tolerates cars) at a Dolby theatre. Great sound and visuals, she loved it especially the Ken Miles character and his son. Highly recommended in a threatre if you can for the big screen and surround sound.

My New Customer just purchased that red vert, but now it is gray! He was telling me that the owner repainted after the movie , for why we dont know! The car is pretty nice, just need some oil leaks fixed and other small things. Body is great, floors fine, looks like a rebuilt transaxle . He has materials proving it is the car in the movie! Did not buy it because of that though, He and His Wife already love the car!

I saw it in the theatre and then watched it at home again last week. I like it a lot and my only complaint was overplaying the 7000 RPM bit.
I tried to find out what happened to Ken Miles' family. It sounds like son Peter was 15 when Ken died and got a job at a California hot rod and fabrication type place where he worked for many years and he now takes care of a multi-million dollar private car collection. I suppose in his late 60s now. He was there when Ken died.
I couldn't find anything about Mollie and how things went for her.

I was hoping for two scenes covering;

- more of the fabrication process of the GT40 and......

- a scene depicting the selection process for GT40 tail lights which is said to be Corvair tail lights.

I hate most Fords, but the GT40 is one great racer that would be totally accepted in my garage.

What? Nobody wants a Granada in the garage? (First car I had that was actually mine. It ran like a fart.)

We saw it several weeks ago. Enjoyed it. My biggest complaint was that they had the sound turned up waaaay too loud. Just because it's a car movie... I guess the theatre thought they needed to blast it! And I already have some hearing loss anyway!

I thought some of the Chapparals had Corvair tail lights but I never heard it about the Ford GT-40.

My first (legal) car was a '76 Grenada! 2 door, 302, huge rust holes, burned a lot of oil. We called it "The Grenade"
