Tore down a Corvair 110 engine this morning. Worked on tearing down the 90 Jag engine all afternoon. Have to go to work tomorrow. My biz partner and I are working alternate days.

So, I woke-up in the middle of the night. Yes, I know it was "The Middle" because I looked at the time. (3:41 AM)
I was WIDE AWAKE, and feeling kinda antsy. Not anxious, just a little wound-up with a bit of nervous energy.
Something was wrong, but I could not really say just what it was.
Well, since I was already awake, I figured I might as well get up and go pee. (yeah, I know you all wanted to know that right?)
Anyway, just as I sat-up, it suddenly hit me right out of nowhere!
I am not sure where the idea came from, since it was not something that I had been consciously thinking about.
But there it was, like a giant billboard painted in my mind!
No matter what your personal views are on the WhooHan Flu, it is undeniable THAT . . . .

We are having another 9-11 Moment in our Country right now!

I still pray, "May GOD Bless America, once again."

Looking at your sig list of toys. One of my long time friends has had his XKE from new, neat car, not without issues, but still a nice ride. Ever own one?

I have had the [pleasure?] of working on a few XKE's. One of the most beautiful straight 6's engines ever, IMHO!
They are a challenge to work on. The red one pictured is a v 12 and I was removing the 4[!] SU carbs to rebuild! Many small linkages and short sections of original braided fuel hoses, of which were replaced as well!

Fun times past and present!

The XKE V12 used Stromberg carbs. The 6 cylinder shown with the 3 SUs would be (probably) a 66.
I feel they are one of the most beautiful cars ever made. I have never owned one but have worked
on a few thru the years.

Great Idea (really), but since I don't have a business partner, I will just start working alternate days. And, since that is at home anyway, it will be hard to tell.

Trade you a couple XJS's and a list of other cars for an XKE!
No, have never even ridden in one. I wish. They are BEAUTIFUL!

In the past two weeks I have replaced the brakes on the Corsa, packed the front bearings, installed new inner bearing seals (front), installed all new weatherstripping around the front doors and the upper door openings, and the fuzzies on the passenger door. I also rotated the rear right spring so it sits correctly on the trailing arm. I need to adjust the left quarter window a little as it rolls up too far now into the new weather strip. I also will lube the right quarter window prior to installing the fuzzies and fix the drivers window. It comes out of the track when rolling the window down. Once I have all those windows fixed I will install the remaining fuzzies.

The new weatherstripping really seals the car. When the doors close it sounds solid.
