Joel:

I tried giving away parts. People said they were coming to get the glass and floorboard panel. Never showed up. I am not into spending money to ship large parts to give it away. A few dollars to ship a give away, I probably would do for a good friend/forum member. Constantly shipping free items, forget it. Part gets scrapped after it has been to Helen and Maggie Valley a couple times.

Right now I have 5 front and rear suspension that are in pieces and all their hardware. Where do you think they will end up? Anyone need any of these parts? I suspect after I post, I will get a few comments but no sales of the control arms, cross members, control rods, front struts, torque arms or camber bolts. To heavy/large to ship will be comments. Maybe I will take a few to the shows but not if I don't have room.

I wouldn't pay for the shipping to give away a part either.

Al, if you have any 64 lower control arms, they are different and possibly sell-able. All 65 to 69 lowers are the same, so many examples out there. I recall most of your parts cars were 65 to 69.

Also the 62/3 lower arms with the sway bar brackets might even be a different design since the sway bar is smaller those years than 64. Others may know for sure.

My loose suspensions are stored outside, awaiting future needs. Not a practical solution for most people, as they are visible in most yards.grinning smiley

All mine are 65 - 69. More than likely will be scrap by end of year. I have posted the suspension in a For Sale discussion this morning. Lots of photos. So far no comments or PMs, but I don't expect much interest in the items.

To support the community, and to make sure good parts are being sent, I clean these enough to pressure test, and if OK I then I ultrasonically clean my oil coolers that I sell.
For $45-50
Plus postage.
This is just being thoughtful and fair.
