Build Sheets

I noticed something odd with the build sheets in my '66 Corsa. While recovering the rear seat I found the correct build sheet for the car. All numbers and dates match the car (body #2033, Chateua Slate/black, no options ). However, when I started on the bucket seats, the build sheet I found was for the Corsa body directly in front of mine on the assembly line (body #2032, Chateau Slate/black, tinted windshield, rear speaker, turbo, deluxe seat belts).
Looks like them mixed up the seats next to the assembly line. But, a black bucket seat is a black bucket seat.

I also have another set of black bucket seats that came from a '66 Monza coupe. The couple that bought this car new gave it to me when they retired and moved to Florida in 1981 because I did all of their mechanical work.
One bucket seat had a correct build sheet for the car. The other bucket seat had a build sheet for the same day (3-25-66) but for a Monza 4 door.
Again, grab a seat and put it in.

I'm sure the assembly line folks new it made no difference and just grabbed the next black seat that was in front of them.

Plus when they when to a locking back bucket seat in 68-69, there was no longer a 4-door sedan model.

As Dave has posted, it is very common to have the seat build sheet belong to a different car as long as they are the same color.

Makes everyone review a build sheet if they find one in their car. It may not belong to that car.
