I think Ken is right maybe more. This pic is right across the Chattahoochee River from the Helendorf Hotel where the Show is. The Building on the right front of the picture is Café International and behind it is the Helendorf we always get a Balcony Room on the River it's beautiful in the spring. Helen being a tourist town will be cleaned up and back to normal in 2 or 3 weeks max. Looking forward to as always smileys with beer

Peachy in hell? In Georgia? Does this have something to do with climate change?

Ah!
That is a River! eye popping smiley
Like FLSteve, I also thought it was main street.
I looked at that railing, and thought,
"Wow! That must be a pretty raucous bar! They have a guard rail there to keep drunk patrons from stumbling out into the street!" grinning smiley

Clever photo! Makes sense when you look closely at the buildings across the river of water!

There are ways to get down to the river but not right there. Normally there is a drop off there and the rail is to keep the patrons from falling in the river bed! Main street is a few feet behind the picture taker. The other bridge you see is the road where the Fest Hall is and the swap meet is just to the right and the car show just to the left as is the autocross.

Same flooding here in Tennessee...
Small creek at the back of my property almost flooded my shop. Lots of fellow club members have water in their basements that normally dont have any.

Just to clarify... the "Peachy" or Peach State (Georgia) is the 3rd largest producer of Peaches, behind California and the "Palmetto State", South Carolina.

It's not quite understood why a state being 3rd in something, uses that as their state theme.

Califonia may be #1 in peach production does not have one of these? The "Peachoid"

I normally would not post such, but this really looked like an OT, with Helen, GA content..... and yes, it does resemble more than just a peach!!!
