Possible re-issue of Aluminum Fan Pulley
Posted by: vairmech ()
Date: February 01, 2020 05:20AM

I am contemplating making some aluminum idler pulleys and fan pulleys. They will be clear hard anodized.

I know the idler pulley is available but not the fan pulley.

I am not sure what my initial investment will be but the initial run will be 50-100 pieces ea.

Who all would be interested in what?

Thanks

I would like a pair. Depending on price maybe more. Make me a good deal and I’d buy a dozen. This is a great part that helps keep the belt on a flat fan car.

Stock ratio with a little deeper wider entrance. Maybe about 10%

Ken,

How will this pulley compliment the Nash Fan?

THAT is a great question!
It would be cool if you two could collaborate on it and make it look like they belong together.
If I am remembering correctly, the aluminum alternator fan has some hard angles on it, and the Nashfan, is very uh, organic, and curvaceous.

Actually being clear hard anodized they are almost natural aluminum looking. So as far as looks the natural fan will blend right in.

Now I'm sure that a few could have some decorative curved slits put in the side.

Will they be made out of a harder material than the originals? I had a few of the old ones and they would wear out and then the belt would never stay on, the aluminum would groove and the pulley would form a lip and its was all over.
