I found the info on the Silverado tonight.
(I think the difference it single and dual rear wheels.)

2001
Chevrolet/GMC, Silverado/Sierra 3500 Dual Rear Wheels,
Reg. Cab 4x2 6600 V-8 Turbo-diesel, 12000 lb

Notes: A higher tow rating is listed for pickups that tow fifth-wheel trailers. See your dealer for more information.

I'll be contacting the dealer this week to be extra sure - what the G3500 Cab and Chassis or Cutaway can tow as pull behind and gooseneck..

As far as licensing goes look for a derated trailer to 9,500# capacity. My car trailer can easily carry 10,500# but the tag only says 9,500# capacity!

The other thing you need to look at is the GCWC, Gross COMBINED Weight Capacity. That is the total weight with trailer that your vehicle can safely tow. Could it tow more than that? Probably. The reason for that is the size of the brakes and the frame capacity along with the rear axle capacity. I don't recall any vehicle spec for a trailer as opposed to fifth wheel. If that info is out there then it probably comes from the trailer manufacturer and I would highly discount that info.

The important number you need to find for the truck is the GCVW. You may have to get an owners manual to get that info.

I found the following info and if it is correct, I would not be happy with the weight that I could haul on the trailer, due to how much the T9 trailer and my G3500 truck weighs to start with and what the GCVW rating is that I found.

Weight
Gross Combined Weight Rating (lbs) 13,500
Curb Weight - Rear (lbs) 1946
Curb Weight - Front (lbs) 2882

GCVW = 13,500lbs
Minus 4,828lbs for the truck itself
Minus 6,320lbs for the T9 trailer
Equals = 2,352lbs that I can carry on the trailer vs the 9,360lb capacity that it is designed as it's maximum load rating.

I made a hard decision, even though I really want this trailer.
I'll have to pass on getting it, for now, and keep the 2018 PJ 20' deckover along with the G3500 that I already have.

The one good thing from all this is the fact that I'll have all that money to put towards; my barn build, a new furnace and maybe even new shingles for the farm house. Grin...

Thanks everyone...

What would you use the new trailer for? Are you just looking for something that will haul Ultravans? Have you looked at aluminum trailers?
Here's a place that sells rollback gooseneck trailers. Not sure they have aluminum though.

Joel, You did not provide a link to the company you were talking about.

I want the trailer to do many things.

1. Make life easier and haul long and heavier stuff...

2. Haul the post and other lumber for the pole barn build.

3. Transport Ultravans when I need to

4. Deliver round bales of hay

5. Pick up the Outdoor Furnace

and more...

FYI - This is the 2018 Deckover that I already have and I have to pay a rollback to load and unload.

I have to have, wait on, and pay for a rollback each time I need load and unload a vehicle with my current trailer above.

That is why I got my hopes up with the T9 tilt gooseneck...

It looks like they don't list or show a deckover as an option…
A deckover is 8.5 feet wide... Great for hauling wide Ultravans. Grin

BTW - My pull behind 20 foot deckover is a 9990lb GW and it weighs in around 3,600lbs.
I'm able to carry up to 6,300lbs on it...

An Ultra might fit. My rollback bed is 92" wide and an Ultravan fits with room to spare but I don't remember how much room. The trailer is 102" overall and has removable fenders. I emailed them to ask what the bed width is and the width between tires with the fenders removed.
