WANTED: Stock three-hole to six hole steering wheel adapter WTB
Posted by: playerpage ()
Date: January 13, 2020 01:05PM

I have my eye on a steering wheel on Ebay, but before I commit I know I will need an adapter. I am looking at a six-hole 14.75inch wheel, to improve legroom and steering over my 17 inch stock wheel.

Does anyone have an adapter or source? I'd prefer new, but will consider used.

Cheers,

All American Billet has a nice USA made Billet adapter from 9 bolt to 3 bolt

[shop.allamericanbillet.com]

Adapts the 9 bolt Le Carra style wheel to the 3 on 1-3/4"" bolt circle

IF you already have a 3-hole adapter on your column, the adapter Matt showed you will allow you to install most 5-bolt or 6-bolt wheels. You can even add one of Matts quick releases. I stock those adapters in several heights. Stock Corvair wheel is 16" in diameter. If you do not have the hub for the 3-bolt wheel, Clarks Corvair is the source - or used.

Seth,

By three hole adapter do you simply mean the hub that I have attaching my stock wheel to the column already? Because I have that.

If that's all I need and the recommended adapter, then maybe I'll be able to afford the wheel sooner than expected.

Cheers.

Eric, if you currently have the Stock steering wheel... then you need the SHAFT adapter to 6 bolt steering wheel that Seth sells.

When you said "3- hole".... most of us visualize the GRANT Wheel 3 bolt steering wheel adapter.

Okay. Yet another example of my Heinlein quote coming into focus.
